Join us to celebrate kai and kōrero at Little Kai Festival – a day grounded in our shared love of food, the land and community, with something for the whole family. Learn more about regenerative and sustainable food practices while the kids enjoy crafts, games and competitions around the green. This will be a chilled afternoon focused on growing hope through food, kids, kai and conversation.

We’re also thrilled to announce that we’ve just launched a new limited edition t-shirt in celebration of the event. On sale now and available in both adult & children’s sizes.

Pre-order one below and make sure you book your tickets to the event to avoid missing out. By purchasing a ticket and/or a T-shirt you’re directly supporting Kelmarna in our fundraising efforts! Design by local illustrator Ezra Whittaker.

Orders can be picked up at the Festival on the 8th of March, or at other times (after the 8th of March) – directly from Kelmarna during our staffed hours: Monday – Friday 8:30am – 4:30pm, and Saturdays 8:30am – 1pm (closed public holidays).

Shipped orders: will be sent after the 8th of March (within 3 – 5 working days) via NZ post.

HOW TO GET HERE

Here’s a little help with walking, biking, and parking.

Bike Auckland will be on site helping with free bike parking at the Hukanui Crescent entrance. 

If you are driving, remember there’s no parking on site, and Parawai and Hukanui Crescents can get very busy. We recommend street parking around Ponsonby or Herne Bay and walking through Cox’s Bay Reserve and/or Bayfield Park to get to the Farm.

FESTIVAL HOUSEKEEPING

  • Help us maintain a zero-waste Festival – please bring along a resuable water bottle, and for coffee lovers – a reusable coffee cup!

  • Bring your own picnic blanket and don’t forget a hat and sunscreen.

  • We love dogs, but we can’t have them on the Farm. We hope you understand and we hope it won’t stop you from coming along.

FEAST & FROLIC ON THE GREEN

It wouldn’t be Little Kai Festival without some delicious food in store!

We’ve got a bake sale planned, Kōkako coffee and food from the Lophie Project, and a proper sausage sizzle thanks to Westmere Butchery & buns from BB Bakery and goods from Daily Bread. 

You’ll also find real-fruit iceblocks from Dr Feel Good and some delicious seasonal salads from The Sustainable Food Co – plenty to keep everyone well fed and nourished throughout the day. 

We’ll also be setting up the green with a range of fabulous arts, crafts and games for kids, so there’s something for everyone to enjoy!
